Christmas Party
The
BVAC Christmas party took place this year on
Friday 15th December 2006 at The Amida Club,
Beckenham. This was a new venue this year! A
little chat, a little entertainment and a lot of
food and wine! A terrific time was had by all and
special awards were presented to:
Val Hassant and Pat Morton
(something sparkling, bubbly and fresh)
Colin Poole (an editorial
rest - hand variety)
Chris Marshall (a picture of
a true runner - yes him!)
Barbara Pope (a frother -
for the chef ... d'equipe of the womens
successful T&F team)
Ann Leverett (a remote
controller - for the men in her life or
the life in her men!)
Phil
was also presented with a can of Guinness (oh and
a tankard from which to enjoy it!)
London
Marathon 2007 Club Draw
The
two free places which BVAC receives in the London
Marathon were drawn out of a hat on Tuesday 19
December in accordance with the constitution
among those members who satisfy the criteria for
entry (see photos right). The places went to Jane
Greenfield and Tony Unseld.

Grand Prix meeting at Crystal Palace. BVAC
secured a number of tickets and a great time was
had by all.
Bridgit
Weekes - Most Improved Lady Runner - Kent Cross
Country League 2006
We
are very proud to report that Bridgit Weekes won
the award for 'most improved lady runner' for the
whole of the Kent Cross Country Fitness League
for 2006 (for more information on the league,
click here). There is a picture on
the right of Bridgit receiving her trophy from
one of the league representatives.
Travelling
'clubhouse'
We've
purchased a club tent to take around to events.
It comes in really handy to store baggage etc and
you can 'park' it right near the start/finish, so
there's no hanging around getting cold and wet
while you wait for the start or your 'colleagues
to finish!
