Have things changed so little since one year ago? Chris Marshall
posted the same time for his 200m and once more finished 5th; Chris also shaved
1/10th of a second off his 1500m time while Connie Jackson ran 200m in 37.9
shaving 1/10th off her time for last year; Barbara gained just one centimetre
for her shot.
There were some more things to shout home about. Andy Whitefield
took first place in the 50+ in his first outing in the javelin (for BVAC and for
a very long time otherwise). An excellent time from Peter Ratcliffe in the 1500m
at 50+. It was terrific to have Ron Gadd back in the fray after his ills. And
who is that pretending to be in the 35+ category at 200m, Tony Unseld?! As for
that relay team - didn't they do well!
